KingHost policies
Acceptable Use Policy
Rules that protect customers, networks and third parties from abusive or unlawful use.
Last updated: 5 September 2026Prohibited activity
Do not use KingHost services for malware, phishing, credential theft, unauthorized scanning, denial-of-service activity, spam, deceptive schemes, illegal content or infringement.
Resource integrity
Shared and reseller services must not be used in a way that persistently degrades other accounts. Workloads requiring dedicated resources should use a suitable VPS or managed service.
Security responsibilities
Customers must protect credentials, patch applications, investigate compromise reports and cooperate with reasonable containment steps. KingHost may isolate an affected service while an incident is assessed.
Reporting abuse
Send abuse reports with the affected hostname or IP address, timestamps, logs and a clear description to support@kinghost.com.ng. Reports are evaluated on the available evidence.
Email and messaging
Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, operate unsafe mailing lists, falsify sender identity or continue sending to recipients who have withdrawn consent. Customers must secure scripts and forms that could be abused to relay messages.
Network and access activity
Unauthorized scanning, exploitation, credential testing, traffic interception, denial-of-service activity, open proxies and attempts to bypass access controls are prohibited. Legitimate security testing requires prior written authorization and a defined scope.
Malware and compromised services
Customers must remove malicious files, patch the entry point, rotate affected credentials and cooperate with containment. KingHost may quarantine files, disable access or preserve limited evidence where necessary to protect the platform.
Automation and resource use
Bots, crawlers, scheduled jobs and background workers must remain within product limits and must not create abusive traffic or persistent load. Workloads that need dedicated capacity should move to a suitable VPS or other service.
Content and legal compliance
Customers may not host content or activity that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing or intended to harm others. KingHost may request sufficient information to assess a complaint and may act when required by law, contract or platform safety.
Enforcement and cooperation
Responses may include notice, resource restriction, isolation, suspension or termination depending on urgency, recurrence and risk. Immediate action may be taken where waiting would expose users, systems or third parties to material harm.
